Presently there are 2 units of National Service Scheme working in the college with the capacity of 200 volunteers working under the able guidance of Smt. Ekta Chauhan and Dr Geeta Singh; and under the constant inspiration and support of our Principal, Dr Dimpal Vij. In the session 2024-2025 the college is also running 2 units of NSS under the supervision of Dr Geeta Singh and Dr Manu Arya

The college has from time to time conducted various campaigns and programmes with its volunteers under the aegis of NSS, Uttar Pradesh wing in and around the Tehsil Khurja. The volunteers commendable role can seen during the COVID Pandemic 2020, when they had carried out mass awareness programmes, along with mask and sanitizer distributions at regular interval. The volunteers under the name “Angels Against Corona” worked for the pregnant women, elderly people and students under the programmes JANANI, HELP and ANGAAN & PATHSHALA respectively.

The college unit under the guidance of Smt. Ekta Chauhan had participated in the campaign, Muskurayega India; a programme launched by NSS, Uttar Pradesh in partnership with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and UNICEF , Uttar Pradesh. The campaign aimed at addressing the issue of mental health among youth and community during the COVID-19 Pandemic. For this, our coordinator, Smt. Chauhan underwent special training for the counselling sessions; and she has successfully counseled approximately 300 individuals through the mobile application named NSS-U.P.

Under the scheme, Mission Shakti – Naari Suraksha, Naari Samman, Naari Swabalamban, launched by our Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji on 17 th October 2020; the units conducts various awareness programmes in the neighbouring villages on women empowerment, safe environment for women and empowering women through awareness programmes and workshop.

The college unit has launched the Menstrual Hygiene Management programme under the banner Chuppi Todo. The word menstruation is still a taboo in many parts of India. It is a complete hush-hush topic even for women. Hence, the physical and mental pains related to it are avoided by many of us. The NSS, Uttar Pradesh unit launched this programmes and our Volunteers conducted various camps in the neighbouring areas to ensure each girl child or women remain healthy and have access to affordable sanitary napkins and hygiene. For this our co-ordinator, Smt Ekta Chauhan has repeatedly conducted camps for free sanitary napkins distribution from time to time. Smt. Chauhan, has recently participated in an webinar conducted by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Regional Centre Chandigarh in collaboration with UNICEF, India on the topic Menstrual Hygiene and Health.

Apart from this the college unit organizes other camps as defined by NSS, Uttar Pradesh from time to time. It is a matter of pride for the college that UNICEF, Uttar Pradesh has even published a documentary on the commendable works done by our volunteers during the COVID-19 Pandemic for the students of Khurja, who could not have access to education during the period. Apart from this one of our volunteer, Chaavi has represented the college at National Integration Camp, Jaipur; and volunteer Laxmi too has represented the college at the PRE-RD Camp, Agra.
